R.I.P. Grandpa
He always said he wanted to live long enough to see me graduate from college; at least I gave him that.
On applying myself...
People used to always tell me that I would do well if I applied myself. Looking back, I could probably think of a few example where this definitely would have been true.
Biggest example: school. I didn't have the best grades going into college (or out of college, for that matter). I'm sure if I spent the same amount of time in high school studying than hanging out with my friends, I probably could have gotten into some better schools. At SJSU, if I spent as much time studying for my Calculus class than hanging with the Table, I probably would have passed and kept on being an engineer. Unfortunately, I didn't pass, but I did find something that fit me better.
The main reason for this focus on applying myself is this current quest to lose weight. I've tried before, but never took it really seriously and never lost much weight. But now that I've started to apply myself and focus on it and seeing the results every week, I'm starting to think to myself "why didn't I do this sooner?" I guess everyone was on to something when they told me to just apply myself.
Words to live by
Sometimes you feel like quitting -- everybody feels like quitting. In life, it's ok to feel like quitting. Just don't quit.

It is a shame that in this society we've been taught to judge a man's worth by what he owns instead of who he is. Everything is surface, and so few look beyond it. A man will sell his soul, he will lie, cheat and steal, for money. If he has it, he can buy respect. Wear the right clothes, drive the right car, have the right friends, that's all that matters. Our lives are consumed in a selfish, self absorbed quest for possessions, the latest and the best in a never-ending cycle until the day we die. We forget what it means to be truly human. We forget the things that really matter. We lose the magic of what life should be.
I won't live by rules that make no sense to me.

As you can see above, I've added Twitter updates to the Widget above. That way it stays updated between different text posts or photo posts.
New Layout
Changed the layout of the blog to this nice iPhone template. Seems fitting, as most of my posting will come from my iPhone.

My New MobileBlog
Converted this space for my new mobileblog for my iPhone to keep everyone updated. This space will probably contain a lot of pictures posts, as I'll probably post whatever I happen to see (and if I'm quick enough to capture it with my phone). Thanks for reading!
